Quiet Hour Ministries

Jackie & Bill Tucker
Established in 1937 as a radio program with speaker, J. L. Tucker, Quiet Hour Ministries is today a worldwide ministry carried on by William Tucker, grandson of the founder. In addition to the radio and television programs, Bible courses, and other initiatives, Quiet Hour Ministries, supported by faithful friends, has sponsored evangelists, built churches and provided gospel workers with airplanes, mission boats, vans and other helpful supplies needed to advance the gospel around the world.

Quiet Hour Ministries and the Carolina Conference have agreed to cooperate with two initiatives:
  1. Quiet Hour Ministries has agreed to underwrite the transportation expenses for Seventh-day Adventist college/university students studying in one of our church institutions with a view to provide an opportunity for young people to preach a full international evangelistic campaign organized and funded by ShareHim. The subsidy by Quiet Hour Ministries for transportation expenses is $750 for each student traveling to the Inter-American Division to hold evangelistic meetings and $1,250 for all other Divisions. ShareHim's responsibility in this student sponsorship program is to raise the funds to under-write the actual evangelistic meetings - which are at least $1,200 per site.
  2. Quiet Hour Ministries has also agreed to provide some financial assistance to cover campaign expenses for Quiet Hour designated group at a rate that varies for each instance. Quiet Hour sponsored campaign date-blocks are clearly noted on the ShareHim International Campaign Schedule.
Quiet Hour Ministries expects that those receiving its financial assistance will do the following:
  1. The speaker will recruit support-team members to participate in various aspects of the program such as provide health and family life talks or coordinate a program for children. Quiet Hour Ministries will provide material for health and family-life talks to those who request them from among the speakers they sponsor. Students are not responsible to recruit support-team members.
  2. The speaker, and his/her team, will include a reference to both Quiet Hour Ministries AND ShareHim/Carolina Conference sponsorship in all post-campaign reports.
  3. Provide conversion/life-changing stories and pictures to Quiet Hour Ministries to be used in Quiet Hour publications and fund-raising appeal letters.
